Hope For Today! April 21

Today is going to be a great day!

God’s mercies are new every morning. Lamentations 3:23.

Hope For Today! Secret Riches!

I start everyday with the scripture, “God’s mercies are new every morning.” Lamentations 3:23. Hope For Today! Is to give Moments of Hope from God’s Word everyday from my treasures of darkness, I never realized over the last decades God was instilling in me through my dark times, and now I see the secret riches that He is showing me to share with you. Life can be hard at times, for whatever valley you are going through in your life but I’m realizing over these past few months how God has been there with me all the time I just didn’t trust Him enough to trust Him with my life. Being in control has been my downfall, I realize now, as I look back over my life, if I can impart anything to you today it is to let go and let God.

Psalms 136 it says 36 times, “For His mercy endureth forever. You can’t earn God’s mercy, but you can receive it! Learn how to enjoy God’s mercy and share it with others around you.

“O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: For his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of gods: For his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks to the Lord of Lords: For his mercy endureth for ever. To him who alone doeth great wonders: For his mercy endureth for ever. To him that by wisdom made the heavens: For his mercy endureth for ever. To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: For his mercy endureth for ever. To him that made great lights: For his mercy endureth for ever: The sun to rule by day: For his mercy endureth for ever: The moon and stars to rule by night: For his mercy endureth for ever. To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: For his mercy endureth for ever: And brought out Israel from among them: For his mercy endureth for ever: With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: For his mercy endureth for ever. To him which divided the Red sea into parts: For his mercy endureth for ever: And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: For his mercy endureth for ever: But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: For his mercy endureth for ever. To him which led his people through the wilderness: For his mercy endureth for ever. To him which smote great kings: For his mercy endureth for ever: And slew famous kings: For his mercy endureth for ever: Sihon king of the Amorites: For his mercy endureth for ever: And Og the king of Bashan: For his mercy endureth for ever: And gave their land for an heritage: For his mercy endureth for ever: Even an heritage unto Israel his servant: For his mercy endureth for ever. Who remembered us in our low estate: For his mercy endureth for ever: And hath redeemed us from our enemies: For his mercy endureth for ever. Who giveth food to all flesh: For his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of heaven: For his mercy endureth for ever.” Psalm‬ ‭136:1-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God doesn’t want us to carry the burden ourselves. We need to give everything over to Him and then leave it there. Pray about it and seek Him for direction, and believe that He is faithful and leave it at the foot of the cross. Follow peace and let that be your guide. What does that mean? When you have a task, goal or dreams you are working towards and you feel that joy and peace slipping away you need to stop a minute and just spend a moment with God. Pray, read God’s Word, listen to the YouVersion app and listen to God’s Word, pick a subject from the plans on YouVersion, ex: Finding Peace, and just listen to it a few minutes. Meditate, listen to praise and worship. Just take a few minutes and refocus as to why you are losing your peace. If you don’t have peace maybe it’s not in line with what God wants you to do that day. Maybe He wants you to spend time with Him, your spouse or your family. Follow peace! “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are. In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.” 1 Peter‬ ‭5:7-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

As I went to look up 1 Peter 5:7, I didn’t realize what came after in verses 8-10, but it really spoke to me. The enemy is always fighting against you, that is why it is so important to stay in God’s Word. Stand firm in your faith because it says our family of believers are going through the same kind of suffering you are. In His kindness God has called you to share in His eternal glory so after you have suffered a little while He will restore, support and strengthen you and will place you on a firm foundation. What a great promise that He gives us. I never read that in the Bible before. All these years I just have been hiding my pain, but He wants us to use it to help others and through doing that He will restore, support and strengthen us. That is so awesome, that is how I have found freedom in Christ, I just realized that is how God is healing my broken heart day by day. We are all a work in progress and little by little God will mold us into something beautiful to be a shining light in this world you just need to trust Him enough to let go of the past and take His hand and start walking into the bright future God has right in front of you.

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. Even when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation! For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer. We are confident that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in the comfort God gives us.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭1:3-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God comforts us so we will know what it feels like to receive that comfort and then the first thing we should want to do is give that away to someone else. Many people are unhappy because they receive from God and let blessings come to them but nothing is going through them. They get their blessing and that’s as far as it goes. What if every faith believing person would let what comes to them go through them and bless someone else with how God is blessing them. Something good is going to happen to me today and something good is going to happen through me today. God wants us to comfort other people with the same kind of comfort He comforts us with.

Use what gifts God has blessed you with to bless someone else!
